- We arranged a short sale. We did everything to keep the house. We paid 1/4 of the home price in cash. Got a 15 year mtg so we could "own the home quicker" I retired a year early from the military to take a promised job. The economy soon tanked, my new job disappeared soon thereafter.

- People need to understand that the purchase of anything is a business decision. Treat your personal life like a business and move on.

- I feel the same frustration. I am retired military.

- I recently retired from the Military and now can't get work. My salary is 1/4 of what it was, but I get no unemployment and so far no job.
